Main Article Content
Abstract
The Maknoon Institute for Female Quran Teachers is the first female educational institution in Riyadh to specialize in qualifying teachers according to the "Quranic Contemplation" (Tadabbur) methodology. Established in 1433 AH (2012 AD) under the supervision of the Maknoon Charity for Quran Memorization in Riyadh, the institute’s primary objective is to graduate educational cadres who master the Book of Allah in memorization, recitation, and contemplation to meet the needs of charitable female Quranic schools. The institute offers diverse academic tracks, including a Higher Diploma for university graduates, seasonal qualification courses, and specialized scholarly programs such as "Zad al-Tadabbur" and "Maqalid al-Tadabbur."
Since its inception, the institute has successfully graduated over 417 teachers, following rigorous admission and registration protocols to ensure high standards of scholarly and technical proficiency. The institute is distinguished by its professional institutional approach, having achieved a 98% performance rating from the Maknoon Association's Institutes Department and reaching advanced stages in the Al-Mousa Award for Excellence (ranking among the top 16 institutions in Saudi Arabia).
Furthermore, the institute places immense importance on community service through its "Alumni Association" and creative initiatives, such as the "Ramadan Contemplation Circles" and the "Tawasul" program, which ensures the continuous scholarly development of graduates. In addition to its educational role, the institute has published pioneering methodological works, most notably the book "The Helpful Guide for Studying the Verses of the Clear Book" (Al-Dalil al-Ma’in li-Madarasat Ayat al-Kitab al-Mubin), which provides practical steps for qualifying teachers to lead Quranic study circles.
