Policy on Academic Misconduct and Plagiarism

Tadabbur Journal is firmly committed to the principles of academic integrity and rejects all forms of plagiarism and infringement of intellectual property rights.
The journal currently does not use automated software or digital tools to detect plagiarism; instead, it relies on the scholarly expertise of its editorial board and peer reviewers.
However, the journal is actively working toward contracting with Crossref to implement the Similarity Check (iThenticate) system, which offers high-accuracy plagiarism detection.
Editors and reviewers assess each manuscript based on criteria such as originality of content, novelty of ideas, and integrity in presentation, drawing on their broad knowledge of scholarly work in Qur’anic exegesis and the humanities.
Reviewers are tasked with evaluating the authenticity of the work and identifying any unreferenced use of sources or paraphrasing of previously published material without proper attribution.
During the review process, academic search engines and scholarly databases may be consulted to detect prior publication or noticeable content similarity.
Any manuscript found to contain plagiarism or unacknowledged quotations is immediately rejected, and the author is informed with a clear explanation of the reasons.
In cases of repeated plagiarism by a particular author, the journal reserves the right to suspend future submissions from that author for a defined period.
All correspondence related to such issues is handled with strict confidentiality, and objectivity and fairness are maintained throughout the process.
The journal adheres to the general principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and adapts them to the context of Qur’anic and humanistic studies.
Authors are encouraged to uphold full academic honesty, accurately cite all references, and avoid any form of duplication, misrepresentation, or unauthorized reuse of scholarly content.
