The Covering (Al-Ran) in the Quran: Its Concept, Causes, and Treatment - An Analytical Study -”

Abstract
Research Topic This research studies the word "Ran", reviewing the linguistic and technical concept of Ran, the words synonymous with this word, and the sayings of linguists and interpreters about it, indicating that it is one of the diseases that afflict the hearts, and the Holy Quran was concerned with providing effective means to treat it. The research addressed the most important of these means in light of the Holy Quran, and used several approaches represented in: the inductive, descriptive, analytical and deductive approaches. Among the most important results reached by the research are:
Research Boundaries: The meanings with which the word “al-Raan” was interpreted as mentioned in the Almighty’s saying: {Indeed! Their hearts have been stained by what they used to commit} [Al-Muttaffifin: 14].
Research Objectives:
1- Introducing the concept of Ran.
2- Identify the most important words synonymous with the word ran.
3- Highlighting the statements of linguists and commentators on the word ran.
4- Knowing the reason for the ringing in the heart.
5- Knowing the most important methods of treating rhinitis.
Approach:In this research, I followed several approaches, namely the inductive approach, and I traced the scientific material in the sources in which it is suspected to exist. I also took the following descriptive, analytical, and deductive approaches.
The most important research results and recommendations:
- The Holy Qur’an took great care of the human heart, represented in many verses that dealt with its diseases and methods of treating them.
- One of the diseases that afflicts the heart and overwhelms it is rancidity, and it has several definitions, including: It is a veil that surrounds and envelops the heart, preventing it from distinguishing truth from falsehood.
- Ran has many synonyms, including: seal, seal, prevail, and seize.
- The importance of studying the verses that deal with the various types of hearts, the diseases that afflict them, and the means of treatment that have been established for them.
