Complaints Policy...
Complaints, Appeals, and Request for Reconsideration Policy / Tadabbur Journal
Tadabbur Journal, published by khibrat Taibah for Research and Studies, adheres to the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Following the procedures outlined in the COPE flowchart, the journal addresses appeals against editorial decisions, complaints related to peer review outcomes, editorial board decisions, and requests for reconsideration. In cases where new forms of publication misconduct are suspected, a committee may be appointed to address these new behaviors if they cannot be resolved internally.
First: Complaints Policy
Tadabbur Journal handles complaints with great care and attention, aiming to resolve them as quickly as possible. The journal treats all complaints with neutrality and transparency, whether they come from the complainant or the party against whom the complaint is made. To facilitate this process, the journal has established specific procedures, including:
- The complainant completes the designated form available on the journal’s website and submits it via the official email: info@tadabburmag.sa . Additionally, they may contact the journal’s number, +966503072333, to confirm receipt of their complaint.
- The editorial management acknowledges receipt of the complaint, informing the complainant that it has been received and is under review by the appropriate personnel for timely resolution, with the help of God.
- The editorial management forwards the complaint to the Editor-in-Chief or their representative, or a member of the editorial board, for review and verification of its validity.
- After verifying the complaint, appropriate solutions are developed. The complainant is then provided with a suitable response regarding the resolution.
Second: Appeals and Reconsideration Policy
- Authors or researchers wishing to submit an appeal or request reconsideration should first review the journal’s policies regarding complaints, appeals, and reconsiderations. This ensures they follow the correct guidelines and receive instructions on how to proceed with their request.
- No discrimination will be made regarding complaints based on race, ethnicity, gender, or country of origin; all complaints will be handled with complete transparency and impartiality.
- All submitted complaints and appeals will be treated with strict confidentiality.
- Authors have the right to appeal the decisions of the peer review committee or the editorial board regarding the outcome of the review of their research or scientific paper by submitting an appeal form to the journal's official email: info@tadabburmag.sa . They also have the right to request reconsideration of a decision to reject their paper or article. After reviewing their request, a committee will be formed. If the committee deems the appeal valid, a new round of peer review will be conducted only once, or the paper will be submitted in its entirety to a member of the editorial board for a final decision. This decision will be definitive and cannot be appealed again; it will result in either acceptance or complete rejection.
- The applicant will be provided with complete details of the process, whether the outcome is acceptance or rejection, along with the justifications for that decision. It should be noted that the journal reserves the right to omit some justifications for internal matters that cannot be disclosed.
- If the complainant is dissatisfied with the outcome of their request and has sufficient justifications for their discontent, the complaint will be escalated to the senior management of the journal and its publisher to form another committee to review the request.
- If it is proven and documented that the author or researcher has defamed the journal or engaged in any instances of misconduct, falsification of data, or published the research elsewhere, the editorial board will take the following actions:
- Immediate rejection of the submitted request.
- Placement of the author or researcher on a blacklist for a period of no less than three years, starting from the date of the complaint submission.
- In case the matter is escalated, the journal and its publisher reserve the legal right to pursue legal action in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
