Abstract
This report presents a concise overview of a doctoral dissertation entitled 'Qur'anic Guidance in Surat Al-Tawbah from Verse (93) to the End of the Surah, and in Surat Yunus from Verses (1–25): An Applied Study.' The research was conducted in accordance with the scientific plan approved by the King Abdullah Chair for the Holy Qur'an and the Qur'anic Guidance Chair at Umm Al-Qura University, in collaboration with the Islamic University of Madinah, as part of the Global Encyclopedia of Qur'anic Guidance project. The study aims to extract partial and comprehensive Qur'anic guidance from the verses within its scope, highlight their purposes and dimensions of inimitability, and connect them to the realities and challenges facing the Muslim community. The inductive-deductive methodology was employed through an examination of the twenty-first hizb of the eleventh juz', relying on the established interpretive methods transmitted from classical scholars, including Qur'an-by-Qur'an exegesis, prophetic traditions, companion and successor opinions, and Arabic linguistic analysis. Key findings include the identification of (5,732) partial guidance points and (47) comprehensive ones from both surahs, along with a strong thematic connection between the two surahs. The study also concludes that extracting Qur'anic guidance requires adherence to the principles of Qur'anic interpretation, that linguistic structures are among the most important tools of derivation, and that Qur'anic guidance remains relevant across all times and places.
