Editorial of Issue Sixteen

Abstract

This publication represents the sixteenth issue of Tadabbur Journal, a peer-reviewed biannual academic journal specializing in Qur'anic studies, published by the Khibrat Taibah Office for Research and Studies in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. The journal's overarching mission is to provide a rigorous academic platform for the publication of research and studies related to the contemplation and interpretation of the Holy Qur'an, in accordance with internationally recognized publication standards.

This issue comprises six peer-reviewed research articles covering a range of scholarly themes, including: Imam Al-Shafi'i's contextual argumentation in his exegesis of legal verses; a rhetorical study of the Qur'an's description of the ranks of bliss in Surah Al-Rahman; the story of the believer in Surah Yassin from exegetical, subtlety-based, and juridical perspectives; advocacy principles derived from the story of the chiefs of Bani Israel in Surah Al-Baqarah as an applied analytical study; the semantic and functional connotation of the rhetorical device of inclusion in Al-Kurani's Qur'anic commentary; and an inductive evaluative study of researchers' recommendations in peer-reviewed academic journals, using Tadabbur Journal as a case study. The issue also includes three scientific reports covering: a thesis on Qur'anic guidance across specific verses in Surahs Al-Tawbah and Yunus; a review of a foundational text in principles of Qur'anic exegesis; and a report on the Second International Forum for Students of Holy Qur'an Colleges held at Al-Qasimia University in the UAE. This issue reflects the journal's consistent methodology of diversifying topics, scholars, and disciplinary perspectives in service of Qur'anic scholarship.
