Abstract
The Sixth International Conference on Quranic Studies and Tafsir was held in Manchester, UK, on 6-7 July 2019, under the theme "The Quranic Approach to Human Development." Organized by the European Academy for Quranic Studies in collaboration with the British Islamic Heritage Centre, it explored the Quran’s role in shaping a beneficial Muslim personality that interacts positively with society and the universe. The conference covered three themes: characteristics of the human personality in the Quran, aspects of human development, and the impact of Quranic reflection on personality building. Over 120 participants from 5 countries attended, with 30 papers presented out of 70 submissions. A workshop on research methods per British standards was also held. The conference aimed to highlight human dignity, the Quran’s methodology in human and civilizational development, and address challenges like violence and exclusion in the West.
